I wanted to take the time to talk to you about how you are supposed to use a steam iron. I know a lot of people are excited to have a device like this, but really don't know how to use it properly. Obviously this type of device can have safety concerns since it does get very hot in temperature, so I thought I could show you how to properly use a steam iron.
It works just like a regular iron, as in it gets hot and you press it against your clothing on an ironing board. Obviously you start by filling it up with water, which is going to have to come to a boil and produce steam. Like all steamers, you're going to find that the device will spit out boiling hot water before it reaches the steam state. That means it is important to make sure that the bottom of the iron isn't facing you or anyone else because you could very easily get burned.
As for the ironing of your clothing, you just need to use it like a regular iron, but you're expected to do a few things when you finish ironing. The first thing is that you have to unplug it and allow it to cool down before you dispose of the water inside of it. Unscrewing the top for the water is something you don't want to do since the contents are under pressure and you could spray boiling hot water on yourself. After it cools down you can dispose of the water and go the standard cleaning process.
